Listening is the door that can open to both happiness or suffering,

and can open to both success or failure.

We listen to something every day but that does not always mean

we will hear what has been said or we will listen to it with discretion.

Listening is an important thing in life, bence the old warnings,

"Take everything with a grain of salt"

or "Don't be gullible."

How can we listen so what we hear will be the source of wisdom and happiness?

The answer is we have to listen deeply.

The meaning of to listen deeply is to mindfully listen,

and that includes to listen without making a rash judgment,

and to listen carefully to the content and the tone of voice.

Every time you listen to something, do so with all your heart,

but do not believe everything you hear.

Sussusam labhate pannam:

การฟังเป็นประตูเปิดไปสู่ความสุขหรือความทุกข์ก็ได้
เป็นประตูเปิดไปสู่ความสำเร็จ หรือความล้มเหลวก็ได้
เราฟังกันอยู่ทุกวัน แต่ก็ใช่ว่า คนที่ฟังอยู่ทุกวันนั้น
จะได้ยินในสิ่งที่ฟัง หรือใช่ว่าจะฟังอย่างมีวิจารณญาณเสมอไป
การฟังเป็นสิ่งสำคัญในชีวิต คนโบราณจึงเตือนว่า
"จงฟังหูไว้หู"
หรือ "จงอย่าเป็นคนหูเบา"
เราจะฟังอย่างไร การฟังจึงจะเป็นที่มาของปัญญาและนำมาซึ่งความสุข
คำตอบก็คือ เราจะต้องฟังอย่างลึกซึ้ง
ความหมายของการฟังอย่างลึกซึ้ง ก็คือจงฟังอย่างมีสติ
ซึ่งครอบคลุมถึงการฟังอย่างไม่ด่วนตัดสิน
การฟังทั้งน้ำเสียงและเนื้อหาอย่างมีสติ
ทุกครั้งที่ฟังอะไรก็ตาม จงฟังด้วยหัวใจทั้งหมด
แต่อย่าเชื่อทั้งหมดที่ได้ฟัง

คมธรรมประจำวันนี้ก็คือ
สุสฺสูสํ ลภเต ปญฺญํ
ฟังด้วยดีย่อมมีปัญญา
